platinum gold; dominated by lemon/citron on nose & palate, the balance is out of whack, lemon marmalade, lanky acids; better as it warms but still monochromatic; all this acid was helpful w/rich flavorful food, but ultimately oppressive on its own (& consider myself a lover of higher acid wines).
This one disappointe me I'm afraid. By all means a well-made wine, but for me too acidic and not enough of the stoney, lime, lemmon, smokey characteristics I look for in a good Chardonnay. Instead I got rather unfocussed acidicy (vintage?), yellow apple on the nose. Maybe even a small hint of honey right at the back of the nose. Rather go for their Puligny Montrachet village '14 at half the price.
