PNP at restaurant from my storage the cork was absolutely perfect and the nose blossomed with young fruit. Initially the fruit up front was balanced with mid and back palate tannins that provided a silky 30 second (timed) finish, which is good for a old man. However with about third of the bottle remaining I returned home and put it on gas to try today. The nose had faded with fruit diminished as well as some oxidation. My point is this wine is at or near it's peak so wouldn't wait...cheers!

Decanted 90 minutes before service. In the glass, not the vibrant saturated purplish-red it might have exhibited in barrel, but still much closer to that color than a mature red. On the nose, crushed blueberries and raspberries, along with a hint of bacon fat. On the palate, pure fruit, held in check from fruit bomb status by some elements of Rhone - pepper, graphite, and the aforementioned bacon fat. In a nice place right now.

The darkness. All deep black raspberry, cigar, tobacco, chocolate, plum, fig and açaí. White pepper and bacon fat. Delicious. Took a minute to open up but it’s glorious. Drinking well, should last another 5yrs plus. 2022-2027+

Rather decent if a little punchy. The 15.3 % does show through on finish but this is full of life and spice. Saturates the palate and still quite young Saxum can get away with the 15% + wines though it’s obvious enough. Good
