2011 is still drinking well- possibly slightly less fruit palate compared to when tasted last year but overall this producer is my favorite for the dry furmint varietal and at a very good price

I drank this a few days ago and lost my note, but I enjoyed it quite a bit. It had distinct and significant lychee on the nose and palate. Lots of tropical fruit and very floral in fragrance. Good acidity, semi-weighty mouthfeel. This is one of my better experiences with Furmint, and reinforces my opinion that Royal Tokaji is one of the better producers.

My first dry Furmint - very fragrant, a bit like a cross between Australian Riesling and gewürztraminer on the nose, citrus and spice. Quite weighty, but with good balancing acidity. Carries its 14.5% ABV well, not hot at all. Perhaps a little hollow in the mid palate, but complex rather than linear with a good length finish. Certainly different. I like it.
