This was really singing out of magnum showing an incredible complexity with notes of charred wood and dark spices. It kept improving in the glass and is perfectly mature now with some air. Commanderie BYOB Pomerol dinner.

The more this sat in the glass, the better it got. Showing a gorgeous smoky, black forest flavor with great complexity on the finish. Ready now with a long decant even out of magnum.

Timuquana BYO (TCC): All plushy and fruity and pretty. Good red fruits. Drinking really nicely. Out of a mag and with a very long life ahead of it. Really interesting to try side by side with the Ausone. The Merlot really comes through here. Very nice.

What more can I say but:WOW!! Beautiful dark color, cork was perfect as though bottled in the last year instead of 25+ years! Ethereal nose with just hints of cedar, truffles, DARK fruit, and after time in the decanter, a hint of chocolate. Sadly, I have only one bottle left. Delightful palate experience with a very long finish. This may have been my highest personaly rated rated wine ever.

Initially strong cedar nose, but needs 20-30mins to open up. This is a young pup. With air more Asian plum notes dominate with dark chocolate. Very strong but fine tannins give a spicy character - with clove dominant. Rich, expansive, long and luxurious in the mouth. This was a pristine bottle and it still needs 5yrs. 96pts now, potential for 98pts in 5yrs. Very decadent and very rich. Serious stuff
