  Opens with an intense core of cool, concentrated fruit, kirsch like, but in no way brunt, just cool. This is a sort of apocryphal neuf, so vertical, almost Bordeaux-like in style, yet, I find the local feel intact here, if no signs of the warm vintage. Drinking a point, but not declining.

  Terrific. Decanted at 6:00; still going strong at 10:00pm. Well integrated at this point with definite further room for improvement. Dense red fruit, barnyard and tobacco on the nose and a full, vibrant palate with a long finish. Great wine, very much alive, and very well enjoyed this evening.

  Slowly arriving, gaining local feel. Mourvèdre speaks with barnyard galore, Grenache backs it up. Grand Vin IMHO.

  Despite professional notes of nearing “old”, we found the wine to be fresh and plenty of tannins indicating more life in this wine. Opened/decanted for an hour, probably could have used 2+. There were strong notes of tobacco, tar, leather and deep fruit on the nose. On the palate, the wine showed tobacco, black raspberry, and perhaps a bit of menthol. Long finish.
