  • I see there are only 4 users of this wine and few notes. This is my only bottle, I opened this yesterday. Drinking today with perfect temp, burg stem. This has fattened up some since y/day, although this is marked at 12.9% so it doesn't weigh down the senses. Zesty dark plum and strawberry, good acidity and some distinct soily, funky notes. The latter note is how I see what Richard J referred to in his note as brett. For my own wine enjoyment, I steer clear from brett and really dislike it, and in this wine, for me the expression is more about soil and that feel than anything detracting like brett would be. For me, this wine's in a good place, settling well with fruit, acid and some nuanced markers and so my drink window would be now for the next 2018.

  • Good CA pinot, light in color and body, nice nose, fruit and "boquet" taste, medium finish. Good.

  • Bright strawberry, sour cherry. Lighter than expected. Bottle had a hint of effervescence that was unpleasant. Was expecting more from this wine. Looking forward to trying next bottle and 09 vintage.
