An excellent expression of Gamay. Pure purple in the glass. And glycerin levels bordering on erotic. Plenty of spicy fruit at the fore and mid-palette. Acidic and chewy on the finish. Also, a touch of heat -- more so than one would expect with alcohol levels pegged at 13%. The suggested window extends to 2025 but the lack of tannins suggests drinking sooner, perhaps within the next 2-3 years, while the fruit lasts.

Fragrant, pleasant nose. Light to medium body. Bright, smooth, red fruit (raspberry, strawberry). Acidity is quite noticeable, although this subsides as the night progresses. Complexity grows with a little time after opening. Great food wine. This Fleurie is a nice transition from Beaujolais and Beaujolais Village to Cru Beaujolais.

Very light. Good fruit on the nose and very smooth.
