Clean and clear with medium brown core and watery rim, developed.
on the nose it is medium+ intense w/ aromas of dried figs, caramell, toffee, coffee, hazelnuts, roasted almonds. Developed
on the palate it is sweet and has medium+ acidity, high % and pronunced body and flavour intensity w/aromas of dried fruit like figs and pruns, nuts, roasted almonds, caramell, toffee and coffee, some nougat. Long aftertaste
Very well balanced and concentrated, intensity dominated by dried fruit and i would guess about 110gr RS pr/Liter. Solid lenght and deep complexity. Outstanding quality, 94-95p

Madeira @ Triomphe (New York City): Lovely wine. Toffee, butterscotch and an unctuous texture. Rich and sweet, with adequate (not great) acids. My notes read "baked pastry"... not sure where that came from.

Madeira @ Plumpjack's (San Francisco): Dark sweet and luscious. Although a bit soft relative to the other Malvazias in the flight, this still had very sound acidity. Great length. My notes are starting to get a bit shorter as the night wears on.

Madeira @ The Caucus Room (Washington DC): Nutty and figgy. Some maple and brown sugar with excellent acids. Unctuous and rich. Beautifully long and detailed finish. A wonderful example of the genre. VERY GOOD.
