Modest and disappointing. Aroma has a sprinkle of complexity amongst plump, ripe Austrian Riesling notes. Almost four square on the palate, watery on the edges prior a guillotine-like finish leaving you wondering, and in my case, embarrassed to present such an ostentatiously labelled, M Reserve wine.

Intense and fruity on the nose with ripe tropical fruits, sweet, spicy floral tones, and a contrasting hint of bitter lemon rind. On the palate, it was rich yet balanced, showing ripe peach, grapefruit, wet slate and minerals. Spiced peach and lemon zest lingered on the finish, closing the experience with fresh and clean note. Very Nice!

Last of 2 bottles. Only regreat is that I did not buy more. Excellent, complex riesling. Very fresh after more than a decade.

Apples, pears, some acidity and minerals. Feels flabby and over the hill. A producer that I normally love; but this was not great.

Wachau Spring Wine Festival (Wachauer Weinfrühling) (The Wachau): This has it all. Ripe tropical fruit, underpinned by a racy minerality. Great structure. € 45. *****
