Very nice and excellent in the context of the vintage. Pretty red fruit and light Vosne spice with no signs whatsoever of '11 greenness. High acid and just a tough light/thin vs. better vintages.

Consumed all 3 bottles and they were showing uniformly GLORIOUS! I do not understand haters on this. CLB conquered 2011 and made incredibly delicious wine (have drank Vosne and Ech as well.) If you like berries in your red burg, lusciousness harmonizing with freshness of tart lift and minerality, and throw in layers upon layers of complex and delicious aromas of flowers, high tone herbs and spices, I don't know how else to describe these wines other than a monumental achievement in wine making, not to mention the consistency of quality (how many flawed Bachelets have you opened.) I close my eyes and wave in these bottles because if you take into account flawed bottles from other houses, CLB wines are almost a bargain. Almost. Cheers!

After the disastrous 2008 Clos du Château, which I am now believing was fake, it was great to get back to a wonderful bottle of Liger. Sweet nose of red and black fruit, fine grain spice and plush texture. Just a touch of dryness on the finish showing the vintage, but this is everything I wanted from this wine. Long life ahead.

Generous and open for business with its complex aromas of smoke, rose petals and sweet cherry fruit. It is luscious but there’s no shortage of detail. The finish is bright and energetic.

Good minerality and pure red fruit. Light and mid-length.
