Very solidly mad; fine balance, quite cool, fruit is clean and dark and spicy. It is not neuf, but The Cigare Volante knows his stuff ... #NYC#BroadwayWine&Licquors

Unscrewed and poured, then re-tasted several times over the course of about 2 hours. The nose showed typical mourvedre notes of leather, black berry fruit, dried herbs. Also showing lots of alcohol, firm tannin, and some acidity. Volatility showed itself more and more as the wine opened, causing a distraction as we tried to explore the wine. The alcohol also became increasingly tough to deal with, especially on the palate. A disappointment.

Wow, is this really Bonny Doon??? From a winery that typically delivers thin, hollow wines, this is a shocker. Nose has a very pure cherry and floral nose with a touch of smoked meat. The midpalate has a great texture, thick extremely polished (chrome like). The finish is pure, racy and lush with cherry liqueur and again some subtle smoky notes.
-- Consumed at at cellar temp: 60°-65° F. Friends don't let friends drink red wine at room temp!

really liked it this time. Big plum early, mellowed out with some air. Sour tar typical for Old Telegram. Perfect right now.

Not as good as the 2003 but still a valiant effort. Great farm dust, charred meat and a bit of coffee
