Plentiful dark berry fruit, up front but not overpowering. Well balanced by chewy tannins that feel quite softened up by now (7 years), and about the right amount of acid. Just enough sweetness to enhance the rest. Completely ready to drink now, and should stay this good for a few more years. Tastes much better than you'd expect for $22.
I think reviewers have generally been suffering from grade inflation in recent years, yet this one fully merits the 92 score that one prominent reviewer gave.

2 hour decant. Nose of blackberry and plum with lesser notes of leather and spice. Mouthwatering blackberry flavor with a medium body and a dry finish. Only negative is a bit too much acid on the back end. Good QPR at $25.
