The wine is slightly hazy and looks deep ruby in colour. There is no sediment in the bottle.
On the nose: Slight barnyard, caramelised/burnt plumbs and cherry. Smokiness at the end with slight apple and spice.
On the palate: Burnt/caramelised fruit (Apple/plumb/cherry/raspberry). Overall not overly sweet becomes more savoury towards the end with Black pepper spice and tobacco notes.
The body is medium/full. The wine has a smooth texture. The wine finishes medium. The wine has fresh smooth to flabby acidity The wine has medium level of round Tannin.
Conclusion Past its best IMO. Lack the silky smoothness I was hoping for and expect with a aged Cab Sauv. Stayed consistent throughout the bottle but missing that depth of flavour.

Strangely this last bottle was in much better form than its predecessor. It didn't particuarly seem to fade between the first glass and the last. The wine certainly isn't improving at this point, however, so it still feels like a good time to drink up.

Nice deep and dark in the glass. Nose - Rich blackcurrant funky fruitiness. Taste - smooth, mature, i felt slightly perfumed, distinctly cab sauvignon blackcurrant, with some raisin, mint acidity, long. I agree with others' comments about drinking up, it feels time.

Still good, but it feels like it's time to drink up now. The fruit started to fade fairly quickly after opening and had vanished altogether on day 2.

Outstanding. More funky than I would have assumed. Lots going on in a good way. Smooth. Really aged well. Too bad only one bottle.
