Like a super-complex apple cider - color was translucent and the bubbles were pretty big. Nose of apple and light yeastiness (but not bread-like). The palate was more apples with some side notes of minerality. Nice drinker with food.

this was a pleasant surprise as I had heard mixed reviews of this wine. starts out on the crisp side but gradually opens as it warms up. this is not particularly poweful or intense but it was a perfect match for sushi and I look forward to drinking more of this.

Terry Theise Champage Tasting (Columbus, OH): Fresh apple pie, some earth-driven notes with white flowers from the Meunier. Crisp and generally well balanced. Some autolysis character. **+/5

Light straw in color. Nose reveals lemon and yeast in combination. On the palate, lemon predominates with a slight yeast background. Significant acidity and a medium body round out this refreshing drink.

Good starter. Some red fruit, some apple, leesy with good acidity and depth.
