Last bottle from our cellar and definitely not disappointed except for it being our last bottle. Medium ruby color. Great nose and flavor with lots of fruit, cherries and raspberries, along with herbs, earthiness, licorice and mint. Nice complexity, very well balanced and a long silky finish. Paired perfectly with our leftover New Years ham.

Nose of red cherry, plum, touch of black cherry, and spring flowers, same on the palate, big body, mouth filling fruit, elegant tasting, very harmonious, delicious with grilled salmon and Fajitas, long, long, flavorful finish makes it a wonderful Pinot Noir.

Vinetasters: Northern California family-owned chardonnays and pinots (Skokie, IL): Served double blind. More red-fruited than black; a nice note of tart red cherry followed by the orange peel note that I always find on Californian pinot noir. Fairly sweet on the palate, with some roasted/browning fruit character. The very high astringency on the finish detracts. Some acidity here, despite the high alcohol, and the fruit doesn't feel overly confected. My 2nd, group's 6th.

Popped, decanted and wrote this note. Aromas of dried cherry, pomegranate, cinnamon, earth and dried strawberry. Flavors of dried cherry, dried strawberry, hint of cola, beet and hint of earth. Ends with a 35+ second finish with dried cherry and strawberry notes. Has a dark fruit note to it. These have mellowed out with age and drinking pretty well now.

Popped and poured. Plum, blackberry, herbs, a little roast meat and Vosne like spice. Medium bodied, nicely balanced, with good focus and increasing complexity. This is in an excellent drinking window right now but can continue to age nicely for up to five years.
