Jen-a-palooza with Paul, Mark and Carol; 10/22/2021-10/24/2021 (Atlanta): Wow this is a great wine brought by Mark and opened in the middle of the afternoon when the last thing we needed was more wine! But this was so damn good I just had to keep drinking it. Had about 3 hours decant and so smooth, plenty of fruit but intense tobacco and tertiary notes. Drinking the last glass now and if I had been told it was a rt bank Bordeaux I would have believed it.

The last one on the shelf. Obtained from a small wine shop in Austin and flown back to FL then flown to ATL for this Jenapalooza over about 2 months time.....pnp'd and great from the get go. Cork saturated half way up, crumbly and came out in pieces. The nose is exquisite Bordeaux, the palate is soft dark red fruited, lots of sweet tobacco, a hint of anise and finishes over 2 hours with beautiful acidity, tying it all together at the end.. This would seem to have some time left but it's drinking beautifully right now. A very pleasant pre dinner surprise! Borders on a 95 for me.
Full-bodied wine, quite similar to a french bordeaux with a solid flavor of oak. Rich dark color, sweet fruit on the pallet, a hint of vanilla and a nice long dry finish. The CT range ends 2014, but I think this wine could live on for several more years. I wish I had a dozen more. Wonderful!

Wowee! Dug this out of the back of the cellar, and not expecting much. Smokey and delicious. Great nose, and wonderful on the palate.

This is still drinking well. A lovely claret w/ dark & red fruit, leans toward cab. Tannins quite mild now, but still has structure & good acidity.
