  • What’s with the drinking window? 2015?! This bottle is absolutely singing. The fruit has morphed far less dark since my last bottle. Mostly fresh red cherry. Pleasant earth/mushroom underneath that, some fresh herbs and just the lightest vanilla/oak touch to round it out. Fully integrated medium acid/tannins. Truly a gem and the most enjoyable flx red I’ve had. Drinking beautifully now though I hope to keep my hands off my last bottle for a few years to see where it goes.

  • Good color. The aromatic nose shows aromas of red berries, herbs and a hint of pepper. Refined for the varietal. This is medium bodied on the palate with good concentration and decent class. The medium plus length finish features civilised tannins.

  • Aromas of blackberry, raspberry & black cherry along with brick dust and herbs/spice. The palate matches stride for stride- the fruit is fresh, the rest adds complexity and there's also a bit of a grilled beef note. Medium acidity/tannins. Drinking well now but should last at least 5 more years. Great QPR and well-made.

  • I love this wine.. already bricking a bit, but the flavor was amazing. Lithe but structured wine, with gorgeous fruit, and only 11.2% alcohol. My guess is this wine was not stored at 57 and is very low in Sulphur. So careful if you plan on having it around for a few years.

That being said.. This is a great NY wine and really is one among many that are showing just how pure and true reds from the Finger Lakes can be..
    EXCELLENT

  • Bought from the winery last year, and served to me blind a week ago. My guesses were all over the map! It felt at once like a cooler climate northern italian, a western french oddity, and an aged rioja. I'll leave that alone as a testament to the wonderful and interesting stuff they're doing up at Bloomer Creek. Very good stuff!
