I too was surprised pleasantly by this wine. The color was a light to medium garnet with no real sign of age. The nose was somewhat floral and a bit fruity of the red variety but hard to pin down. The mouthfeel was light and feathery with a silky feminine texture. Yet it was was full of flavors that went well with a variety of cheeses as well as grilled steak and an apple dessert. Very interesting. Flavors were more mineral and flowers and maybe raspberry and quince. A very flexibly luscious wine.

Wine has been in my cellar since I bought it in the 90s. Hadn't had a bottle in about 10 years, almost forgot I owned is. Classic California cab, it's aged very nicely and probably still has a few years left. Very smooth, nice darker fruit, some cedar and dark chocolate on the finish

Showing its age. Tawny bricking with an old cab smell. Flattest flavor of the vertical.

93,94,96 vertical with Randi & Ed. Much better than previous bottle last year. Very smooth classic Souverain cab.
