Lovely florals and fruit in the nose. Plummy blackberry fruit. Beautiful tannin and polish to the wine. Fruit maybe just starting to fade. Great effort considering the vintage.

This wine is completely different to the wine I tasted in June 2019. Completely clean. Great tannin and a wine of weight as well as balance. It is not dilute or bretty as the last one was but was cellared next to it. Screwcapped of course. The must have been a rogue barrel in the mix. Chocolate, kalmata olive. Furry tannin. Great length.

Opened with some sweaty saddle bretty aromas and I decanted it and gave it a bit of time. One the nose the fruit a touch muted but the balance is spot on palate wise (as usual) and the influence of the oak is well judged. It drinks of the vintage, a bit dilute and wet but has that minerally grain to it that keeps you coming back. Sealed it up in a half bottle for the next day and the animale was a touch stronger but still very drinkable.

Bretty this one. Sad. The previous bottle was outstanding. This was hard to drink. Band aids and horses. Not nice.
