So - a little entry problem in CT. One was 2011 - 93; One was 2012 - 90. both purchased at auction. Perhaps these Dookers should be consumed a little younger. The 12 was losing it's Fruit a bit, which made it "undookerlike".... The 11 had power, both red and black fruit, with earth and just a bit of oak. 12 had smoked meats, iron and tobacco, with the fruit clearly in the background. Still delicious, just unlike any dooker i've had before - most of which I drink ridiculously young.

This is a seriously good wine, with a big nose of dark fruits and licorice giving way to bursting flavors that are big and round then finishing with a very nice spice at the end. Being a Shiraz does not lend itself to the chunky tannins I prefer but this absolutely made the dinner last night. Decanted for 1 hour.

Aussie fruit bombs don't get much bigger than this. A total circus of fun flavors and well balanced (60 Shiraz + 40 Cab Sauv) but with higher alcohol and a shorter finish than most Mollydooker wines. And yet I always find a place for these enormous wines in my wine collections.

My experience with this is much like the past few notes. A thoroughly enjoyable bottle of wine, much more mellow and balanced than the Carnival of Love, with more leather and more anise and more dark chocolate. Some would call this a fruit bomb. I say, if you accept it for what it is, it’s not bad!

This is still a big dine with plenty of fruit. You can definitely feel the burn of the alcohol but still remains easy drinking
