  Pop and pour, consumed over 3 hours. Nose: Medium intensity, red licorice, ripe raspberry and blueberry, and saddle leather. Palate: Medium-full bodied, spicy dark red fruit attack, spice driven mid-palate lift, menthol and earthy notes dominate the back-end. Finish: Medium-plus length dominated by spicy dark red fruit and earthiness. Probably in it's prime drinking window at the moment with at least a few good years ahead yet. The heat from the 15% abv is noticeable, but not overbearing.

  Good from the start. No decant. Really attractive nose of candied red fruit. Smooth texture, bright red fruit on the palate. Simply delicious. Long finish compliments a luscious wine.

  No decant. At first, this was very tight with bright red fruit. After an hour or so, the wine really opened with darker red fruits, violets and minerality. Well balanced. I would hold for another couple of years.
