This is progressing slowly but nicely. It's all about structure rather than richness -- high acidity, no oxidation, lots of minerality and citrus-fruit flavors. Very classy wine, still young. I recommend decanting, and serve it no colder than cellar temperature (even room temperature is fine).

This is aging quite nicely. Rich, but with good acidity. Not sure this gets better, per se, but no need to rush to drink. The bottom inch of the cork did break, and I've had other cork issues with bottles of Rhys from this general time period --- I'd recommend an Ah-so, if you have one.

A distinct but not overwhelming whiff of gunsmoke. Still good acidity, some yellow and white fruit, some of the reduction remains on the palate as well. Tasty juice - a lovely aged American chard. My favorite quote, from a friend with whom we drank this, was “this has everything I liked about Chardonnay and nothing I don’t.”

Light yellow gold
Bright tart saline fruit with some celery notes
Tireless drinking, worth a visit, especially for those who don’t mind the acid.

At the end of the line. The cork was not in great shape. Drink up.
