From the "bastardized " vintage comes this 2011 Franc that has a great blackberry, toasted oak core. Ripe berry and spice towards the finish. Still has tannin on the finish but definitely softened after 2 hours. Surprised at the youth and complexity here. I am not really sure how many more years this wine has left, but I can tell you that it's definitely more than 1-2 as the average drink date on here would suggest. This wine is just starting to approach the top, which means that this one probably has 7-10 years before it's in the gutter.

W duck from skillet. Good combo. Took a while to open up but was good. Bit tarry at the start but this became balanced after 2 hours. Drink up

A very good wine, but bordering on overpriced. My fervor for Chappellet is waning.

W lamb at Rudy&Jenny. Very good wine and perfect combination. Prob one of nicest US made cab francs. Good length and good fruit all in balance.

Drinking amazingly well at this time. Great bouquet but and even better taste. Fruit still present after 7 years down.
