Inky purple-red showing no signs of browning. Stinky nose of oxygen reduction, clear evidence that it has spent its entire life in cement and/or stainless steel and bottle. Typical carignan "red wine" flavors — kind of like Oakland, as defined by Gertrude Stein: There's no "there" there. Reduction stink goes away 2nd day, yielding more fruit but quite a sharp finish.

very lovely wine from domaine la tour boisee situated in coteaux de peyriac (languedoc). If you want to know where carignan stands for you should try this. Carignan on its known is making a comeback. Roses leaves reach your nose. At the palate a very soft Light tanineus wine with the primaliry tastes of plums.

“Sud de France”, Day 2, Wine 1: The wine was dark purple in colour and offered floral notes, dark berries and vegetal notes on the spicy nose. On the palate the wine showed dark fruit, blackberry and mild vegetal notes, with medium spiciness, medium-level acidity, medium-plus tannin and good length. A medium- to full-bodied, medium-complex, balanced, well made red.
