An interesting effort to make a superb Vermentino from Lodi in California, instead of the places in southern Italy that are rightly famous for making the best wines from that grape. Pale yellow, refreshing, and moderately smooth in texture. Enough acidity to make the wine have a cleansing and long aftertaste, and be good with a surprising range of food. While short of being competitive with the Italian ones, still an enjoyable and moderately priced effort recognizable as Vermentino.

Consistent with previous bottles. Pale straw in color, this wine shows Meyer lemon, citrus oil, spring peach and white flowers on the nose. The mouth feel is dry with more stone fruit and floral elements. The finish is assertive with more citrus and bright acidity. 13% abv.
Purchased for $9US, this is an aromatic, high acidity wine that is an excellent aperitif. Glad I bought 6 of them.

My first Vermentino but won't be my last. Bright minerals, grapefruit on the back end. Great drink for about $12.
