Dusty, rose petal, cherry, some spice- cinnamon. A little murky, excellent smooth velvety mouthfeel. Cherry, dust, cocoa, smooth tannins a touch of bitterness on the finish. Love it. Has time left but so delicious it must be at its peak.

Double decant for 3 hr. Nose of violets and brambly fruits. Palate of game, earth and an almost tomato component. Medium acid. Medium body. A bit darker fruit with more structure than the village and little less polish, but more depth. Also some impression of oak here but not heavy. Tannin is a little coarse holding it back. Needs time to integrate, 2+ yr.

Slightly deeper than the village wine. Riper, cleaner nose with herbs in the background. Medium weight but lusher feel due to more obvious oak with blue fruit and fine substantial tannin. More backward than the village wine, but for my taste, not necessarily better since the wood sticks out.
