A private lunch (Noble Rot Wine Bar & Restaurant, London, UK): A blend of 52% Chardonnay, 32% Pinot Noir, and 17 % Pinot Meunier, base vintage 2018, with tank-aged reserve wines. Flowers and stone fruits, crisp and dry but with a lovely toasty, smoky richness from the lees ageing. Well balanced.

At Noble Rot, Mayfair. Autolytic notes, lemon curd and other citric notes as well as fruit of pear. Also hay and mineral complexity. More nutty, oxidative notes on the palate with a nice citric finish. Decent.

Believed to be 2016 base but light coloured and energetic on the nose. Not the ripest smelling, but it is the level of acidity that is initially shocking. One can habituate a bit, but this sadly isn't the most enjoyable.

high sharp acidity, quince, fine mousse. medium plus body. savoury. lemon, acidity a little sharp and not quite balanced by complexity or depth of flavours. Just ripe apple and citric fruit. loemnon sherbet. It is food friendly. medium intensity. medium alcohol. not sure if it is just that this bottle is not showing well.

Noble rot in London, served for apero. Golden color. Green apple, citrus, hay, wet stones on the nose. Med+ acidity, med body, med alcohol, med flavor intensity and med finish. Mineral mouth, orange and citrus, lingering salinity. Nice and crisp and perfect for apero. Missing some complexity for a higher note.
