INKY black in color, lush, mouth, feel and smells of typical California dark fruit. Stewed plums, licorice, and dusty chocolate. Velvety smooth tannins.

Classic Husic cab: deep purple-black color; somewhat closed nose of black fruits and wet stone; big fruit-forward taste with strong notes of blackberry, cherry and oak, with an almost syrupy feel; firm acidity and a long finish of honey with a hint of cocoa. High alcohol, not a lot of restraint on display here, but count me as a fan.

Three hour decant. Very deep dark crimson magenta color. Stewed cherries, oregano, anise and ripe pomegranate on the elegant nose. Very smooth, dry palate with subtle spiciness. Firm, but not aggressive tannins on the long finish. This is showing initial signs of age and is in its peak drinking window.

Way to young to be trying this puppy. Quite perfumed of lavender and aged leather. Young tasting and seems like this is built to age. Flavors of fresh berry, cedar wood, and aged leather.
This could have used 4-6 hours of decant but trust me it is well structured and built to benefit from age. Finishes with vanilla lingering flavor.

Feels a bit tired for a 2012, honestly. Nice fruit, spice, cocoa, but sort of lays there. Nothing compelling really.
