  • Deep garnet.
Sweet liquorice, blackberries, black cherries nose & palate.
Some cedar & raisins on the palate.
Medium/ full bodied, beautifully balanced, long finish.
    Drinking very well.
I bought this in a charity auction in 2020 and having opened/tasted it thought I would buy some. Unfortunately can’t find any in the UK.

  • Brought out to celibrate my last day at my work (funny because freedom is exactly what I feel drinking this).

Oh my what a nose. Candy rain. So much eucalyptos, raspberry jam, cinnamon, black berries and bacon.

Fizzy, zingy acid with animal fat and forest fruit. Very good grip and still some gripping tannins. Heavy, complex and powerful. Juicy as hell.

My wife screamed out "wow, this is fizzy alright". Like coca cola on steroids.

  • This a very nice wine. Balance, fruit, aging tones, tanins, acidiy, ... - a very nice harmony in nose and mouth. Gentle shiraz fruit with hints of fine grained black pepper, dark chocolate (no bitterness), ... Worth the money? My answer is YES.

  • Flagship vine vintage 2012 from SA Barossa house Langmeil.
    100% Shiraz, 48m french oak (69% new, 31% old)
Primary aromas dominating the nose with blackcurrant being the most prominent. Oaky aromas are also heavily present, cedar, smoke, vanilla and then a hint of animalistic and lactic notes.
Full body. Fruity attack with heavy alcohol notes and strong but velvety-feel like tannins. A fresh acidity tries to even out the balance.
    Palate as nose.
Ok length finish that lacks profile and further complexity.

  • As I unscrew the screw cap on this overly heavy bottle and pour myself a first taste, it's like a whole world of complex, fruity aromas rise in the glass, even from just a tiny pour. Amazing intensity in the aromas; full of chocolate, blackberries, kirsch, smoky, some minty high notes as well. On the palate its velvety and luxurious in texture, and the slight sweetness from the exuberant berries is also balanced with high acidity. More sweet&sour shiraz than northern rhone tar&bloody beef, but oh, so very delish. Great now, great life ahead.
