Opened with a lot of oaky dill which over powered the fruit. With about an hour of air, the fruit dominates. Lots of black raspberry, pepper and tapenade. I think these continue to improve so drink or hold.

At age 12, as typical of Jaffurs top cuvees, this beauty is still evolving and getting even better by the minute. Not to be confused with an Hermitage or Cote Rotie, but equally as appealing with its fruit basket of flavors, gripping structure and everlasting finish. Pure California perfection without flaws or rough edges anywhere. Highly recommended.

Silky and dark Santa Barbara Syrah with saline minerality and supple tannins. Full bodied and delicious.

PnP. Secondary notes are primary now. Earth, leather with some currant. Full bodied, strong finish. Great.
