Drank over two evenings. First night with NY strip and Brazilian style beans. Dark fruit and coffee on the nose. Dark fruit, chocolate, and spice on the palate, with long finish and soft tannins. Mouth watering. Second night the tannins were more present and fruit less so, but still quite nice. No need to consume this yet as it seems balanced enough to continue to evolve nicely, but very tasty now.

Drinking beautifully. Decanted for 1 hour. Cork showed sign of deterioration

PnP and ready to go. Immediately approachable, unlike the 2011. Juicy, layered expressions to a lingering finish. Awesome

September 2018 in Walla Walla; 9/19/2019-9/22/2019 (Walla Walla, Washington): Bright Ruby. Light tobacco aromas. Medium-full bodied. Definite presence of tannins but under control, a bit of bitter skin aftertaste with a medium long acidic finish, making it a good food wine.
