  • Probably the best wine of our Montalcino trip.

On the day of opening quite unimpressive, however on the next day it morphed into an incredible beauty of a wine, with endless complexity, astonishing elegance and terrific balance.

    Expensive but exceptional.

  • Excellent small producer just outside Castelnuovo dell'Abate, a true gem. Close to Poggio di Sotto, both geographically and in style and quality, but at less than half the price. Multilayered aromatic nose with black cherries, blueberry, tea, anise, vanilla, coffee, chocolate, brown sugar, bitter almond, nougat and creme brulee. Rich and round mouthfeel, semi-warm. Exclusive feeling, nicely integrated dry tannins, delicate acidity. Still young with a great future ahead, hope to meet this one again! 95p
