Stone fruit, ripe apple, citrus, orange, light honey, marzipan, toffee (Werthers Echte), brioche, and smoke, with creamy mousse, good acidity, and good to very good length. Nice, creamy texture. Well-balanced. Yes, it is not the most complex champagne, and the residual sugar makes it flabby, and yet that toffee creaminess is quite intriguing. Significantly benefits from using big glasses, in this case a Zalto Denkart Burgundy glass, and from serving it at 10 to 12 degrees. Better than its reputation.

As I hardly ever drink sweet champagne I find it hard to evaluate this. Nose is quite shy and mostly gives sweet citrus, orange and very ripe pears. On the palate sweet obviously. Not much fruit, just light citrus and elderblossom. Medium acidity, would have benefited from some more. Gers a bit cloying. Delicate mousse. Medium lenght.

Certainly a bit sweet but not overwhelming. Fairly balance and even though it is sweet it was not extreme in any way. A decent wine but it did not impress me in any way.
