  • Clear and pale gold colour. Clean on the nose, with medium intensity, it shows berry aromas (grape), but also green fruit (yellow apple, pear). After some time the ageing character grows stronger, oaky hints become more evident (vanilla, caramel, toast). It shows the typical soapy hints of grappa.
In the mouth it is dry, but soft. Alcohol is smooth, pleasant, not at all aggressive, with medium body and good intensity of flavours. The oaky vanilla character (with caramel and nutmeg) is a bit more prominent on the palate, but the berry grapey aromas and the fruity apple hints are present as well. Medium finish showing some complexity.
I would say a very good spirit, well balanced between the soft side and the alcoholic strength, smooth and also expressive of both the process and the raw material. A bit short on the finish, I would have enjoyed more intensity, but anyway nice.
