Very nice floral and spicy Fleurie with a nice earth component. Good with turkey and stuffing. Good acidity, a trace of white pepper, green tea, and some fine grained tannins on the finish.

Tasting pour at a wine store. Nice aged Gamay drinking well now. Still has nice fruit, but has some meat and mushroom notes. Smoke, black raspberry , some spiciness to the finish.

Cool dark sweetness on nose. On the palate tart some minerals and savory. Tart finish. Nose - 4/6, Palate - 4/6, Finish - 3.5/6, Je ne Sais Quoi - 0.5/2 = 12/20.

I wanted to like this more than I did. I don't mean to suggest it was bad -- it wasn't. There is quality fruit, but that fruit is buttressed by oak tannins rather than more organic structural elements. It may integrate better in a year or two.

Needs alot of air, too much oak for my taste not what I usually look for in Beaujolais, dark notes. To put away for a couple of years.
