Dark red/garnet, inky. Dark berry and cassis aromas, a mineral/herbal element. Well balanced, really nice overall structure. Dark berry fruit/cassis and chalky-like plum flavours. Medium to full bodied. An herbal element on the finish. A nice bitter streak on the mid palate to break up the fruit ripeness from being over the top. Nice wine. I was surprised by this wine … 92-93.

One of the best wineries in Canada and this one did not dissapoint on a beautiful sunny and warm Canada Day! Deep Dark color, dry fruit on the nose. First sip a Wow- OMG I love this wine and I am so happy to have 2 more in my cellar LOL! Soooo smooooth, low tanin and ever so exquisitally smoooooooth- dry fruit a bit of dry fig and cherry notes, it is simply perfect. We are So happy to be going to Niagara region wineries next weekend! HAPPY CANADA DAY! /

Last bottle and the best yet. This is really coming into its own; so well-balanced and good complexity. Tasted alongside a 2013 Allegrini Amarone and this was preferred by the whole group. Good depth of fruit that is starting to move into tertiary with some dried dark red fruits and fig. Fine tannins. Really delightful. Definitely in its window now.
Opened in honour of the Leafs playing their first playoff game. The wine was much better than the outcome of the contest with the Bruins (5-1 loss). Once again bouquet more compelling than the palate. Lack of complexity of fruit and secondaries initially indicated by the nose. Shorter finish as well. There definitely was some generous oak used here. Still remarkable to have a Cab from Beamsville! GLG!

A little more complex this time around. The fruit, acid and tannins are starting to fuse and head in the right direction. a little more polish on the palate - good medium-plus body with smooth tannins and a crème de cassis type finish.
