N: Ripe blk cherries, poss plums, with choc undertones, & notes of coffee emerging with addt'l swirling/air
P: MF body; Rndish entry with ALMOST swtish frt (approaching threshold R.S.?) met by an astringent pucker which slowly works itself into a LONG, slightly spicy finish which shows just a TOUCH of swtness from time to time. Sweeter than I'D like, but well done in its style, & probably capable of drinking through '19. [As of early Apr '20, wine-searcher shows no sources for this vintage].

What a great blended wine. Very smooth with a beautiful flowery/fruity smells. I could smell the oak...don't know if these are from steel barrels or oak.

Garnet red. Overload of prunes with a touch of dark cocoa. Dark stewed fruit with dark spices. Not balanced, pleasant or anything. Must be an off bottle.

This was disappointing. This maybe A bad bottle although many notes seem to indicate that prune/plums may be expected so I am a little confused. The pruniness of the nose is very off putting
I will give it the benefit of the doubt. Otherwise it would have been 84/85.
This could be interesting as a dessert wine with vanilla ice cream.
Nose is cocoa with prunes.
Body is 5.5/10 and tannins are 6.5/10.
