Tasted over 2 hrs -med dark red mild clearing -subtle perfumed dark berry faint herbal -med acidity, med/med- weight some earthy dark berry that has picked up mature elements along with a saline note, med- tannins -pleasant darker-fruited mature with a few good years left, not as much Gevrey-ness as prior bottle

Side by side chambolle musigny with the clos gevrey from the same vintage. Two awesome wines for the qpr and remind me of why I cellar my wines and the returns that come for this who wait!
The gevrey showed a beautiful brown color vs the darker purple chambolle. On open the gevrey was way more open on the nose and flavors and after a couple of hours the chambolle came out to party (still more restrained than the gevrey on the nose). The gevrey developed a grapefruit flavor wrapping it’s acidity.

Coravin fun - Burgundy (My place, Kent Street): From Coravin. A little jubey red cherry over strawberry compote, muted sweet spice. Juicy with plenty of strawberry compote backed by a touch of red cherry, rich, supported by talc textured tannins that persists very long, slight alcohol warmth on the finish but very nice.

Solid wine. Purchased through Envoyer back in 2018. Many disappointments, but not this. Really nice, especially for the price.
