  • Another excellent bottle of this; classic Vosne nose with spice and red fruits, really no earthy/secondary notes yet; very good density for the level and a long lingering finish with spiced tea and cherry. Would buy more of this and frankly, based on my experience this has been just as good as the Grivot Brulees of the same vintage!

  • Popped and poured. Showing very well right off the bat and gaining complexity the more it sits in the glass. Very agreeable wine. Quite dark in color for red Burgundy, looks totally ruby until you turn it sideways where more rust color appears. Bright cherry fruit needs no coaxing; it jumps from the glass and keeps growing and expanding. Slightly smoky, spicy component emerging (in a good way). Really nice in the mouth. The cherry fruit makes your mouth water, and it has a lovely complex soil component. A wine that is light on its feet but really delivers in the flavor department. Only wish I had more, as this was a bargain at $70 back in 2017 when I bought it. This is fine. 5-12-17-9: 93/100.

  • Drank my other bottles too early. No decant but opened an hour before dinner. Nose is intoxicating. You KNOW this will be amazing. Cherry, strawberry, raspberry, rhubarb with cinnamon & spice. Dark color typical of VR. Wine if full and extracted. Premier Cru Quality for sure for a Villages wine. Should have bought a case of this. One of the best Villages wines I’ve had. I can imagine it can improve for the next few years. This is excellent.

  • Definitely needed several hours of air to show itself. Notes from Eagren1 from 2020 apply.

  • Aired for 4 hours in decanter prior to serving. Enticing aromas of red berries on the nose. Cinnamon and Asian spice. Some mature notes of mushroom and forest floor. Good concentration, elegant and silky, good acidity, fine grained tannins. Quite slim and linear. Just a little touch of green, which for my part is not particularly daunting. Focused and tight finish that lasts long.
