Nose a bit reductive(!?!), showing cool climate and I think oak notes. Green tones are strong both on nose and palate. But, cranberry and cherry fruit, with an astringent herbal and tobacco note. One of the most fascinating pinots from outside of burgundy - not quite sure I love it - but it has some of the structure that is really compelling - almost Gevrey like - but without the complexity and depth. Requiring following and thought.

Tasted earlier with similar scores. This wine is delightful. Its balanced, light weight but very "correct". Almost like you took a "serious" Pinot and added water to it (in the nicest way). Its just like a light weight version of a more serious wine. Really nice quaffer. Most food can overwhelm but on its own its nice.
In some ways this wine is like O-noir use to be before they finally discovered the BIG BAD IS BETTER approach that win high wine reviewer scores and sends sales through the roof.... sigh

This was a very nice wine. Packaged in a smokey, dark fruit, savory wrapper with just enough lift to keep it lively, the finish was clean and correct (if not particularly long). Much better than an O-noir I had a few nights before, this wine was much better balanced.

I'm still digging this wine but this bottle took much more time to open up than the last. I'll decant the next.

Medium red, black cherry and alcohol nose, muted cherry palate. Reminds me of good Oregon pinots.
