This was better in its youth, and should have been opened 10 years ago. That said, this is a pretty well-integrated, still developing classic CA pinot. Tannins and acid more balanced, with a bit of astringency more than desirable on the midpalate that lingers through the long finish.

Aroma: Dusty cherry and earth with a hint of the acidic backbone to follow; very nice straight from the bottle.
Flavor: At first opening, surprisingly smooth and rich with cranberry, red cherry, strawberry, and rhubarb playing together, all of which remind me why I like Pinot Noir so much; some decent acidity and tannic activity at first; after an hour, this wine was rich, supple, smooth, and evolved...delicious!
General impression: Clearly I opened the 2005 too soon! After a few years of rest, this 2004 Green Truck is terrific!
