  • Absolutely stunning nose. Loads of white flowers. Some almonds. A little underbrush? The palate is ridiculously intense with some marzipan and more white flowers. Lively and delicious. Wow wine.

  • P&P. Moderate nose of honey, white flowers and peaches. Medium plus acicdity body of peaches, citrus, and floral notes. Medium finish.

  • Excellent Viognier. Rich, round, slight honey but lacking the complexity and finesse of the Jaffrus 07 viognier. For my palet the 07 is exceptional but his bottle of 06 is dtill very enjoyable.

  • Birthday Week Wine Experience
This is the first bottle in a "bottle a night" series celebrating my 39th Birthday. I used to drink this wine often with dinner back in the early 2000's so I was curious to see if I still enjoyed this Viognier. On the pour it was pale yellow, clear and almost watery. The nose was very nice with peach, melon, pine nuts and lilac. On the palate there was some bright citrus, green apple, peach, florals and touch of honey. It had good balance and a nice acidity but was really rather unremarkable. A medium finish with some more peach and apple. Not very complex or earth shattering and there are better Viogniers out there for the money (Melville Estate Verna's comes to mind right away) but this is a solid summer drinking wine. It is readily available and if you like crisp, fruity whites in the summer this is a no brainer to grab when you see it. 50+4+11+15+5=85pts.

  • Drank in desert on day of engagement. It was preceded by McPrice Meyers Viognier... tuff to score after a wine of that caliber.
