A terrific value, true to my favorite petite sirah characteristics. Almost opaque, with the typical brilliant dark purple color; classic petite sirah nose, with damson plums, spice and cocoa; delicious spicy blue and purple fruit with a touch of bittersweet chocolate, holding well through the midpalate; chewy tannins for balance, with a long, dark finish. Not bad as a pop and pour, but as I'm finding with so many of the serious younger petite sirahs (and it is serious), it hit its peak at day 3 after opening - it needs oxygen.

This is a fantastic wine! Deep and dark; far more complex than you would imagine for the price.

Pnp. Gorgeous dark color ("brilliant" as another described). Aromatic black fruits on the nose. Spice, good acidity and chewy tannins. Excellent QPR.
