Decanted for one hour. Nose of blackberry, huckleberry, black plum, gamey meat, licorice and spice. Black and red fruit, gamey meat, spice, bramble and fine tannins on the palate. Very long, smooth finish. Full bodied. Served with grilled, marinated tuna steak.

Had this initially and due to high alcohol got really buzzed, but held sealed until 7/1/23 and man was it good then. Initially the alcohol dominated but the time in bottle made this a fruit driven but well balanced wine. All the rough edges from the alcohol leveled off. Sediment in last glass. Justy real nice fruit and worthy of Rhone designation, felt a bit meaty also. Really decent.

Consistent with my two previous notes....Christmas Dinner wine.
Previously: Consistent with previous note: Had after a day golf with friends from work....first taste for them. They loved it! Such a great syrah....at nearly 10 years it still seems very young. Long life on this one....
Tied for WOTN with a R-M Cab. Fast forward another year and wine is still going strong. Such great balance and fruit.

Delicious blackberry, mocha, and floral aromas with rich fruit and layers of complexity on the palate and long finish.
