A bit disappointing - honestly. Double decanted prior to drinking. Meaty, plum, oak - tannins were quite softened after 10 years. Didn't notice much complexity or length in the finish. Served with a Provençale beef stew.

Notes from two magnums ex-château that were procured in 2023: The first magnum was tragically corked, with a musty bouquet and an aftertaste of wet dog. I felt that under the veil of TCA there lurked a great wine, despite 2014 being a weaker vintage. This was confirmed by opening the second bottle, which is really shining. Classic Pradeaux replete with all the rich aromatic Mourvèdre high notes: blackberry, rose petal, cassis, and black plum. The tannins have mellowed a bit, but are still present. Long and enjoyable aftertaste. A substantial, serious, and full-bodied wine with a great QPR.

My first Pradeaux, and I enjoyed. For a weaker vintage, this was all the more impressive, although this was cellared well throughout. At 9 years it had lots of vigor, with quintessential tasting notes of Bandol Rouge cuvées.

A bit oxidized on the nose for this bottle, but the palate was hanging on to a lot of character. Definitely need to check in on a younger vintage of this wine. Great potential.
