A very soft, almost feminine Cab Franc, and like most Acorn wines I've tried, it has that certain small producer country rusticness; in a word: Italianate! (Which I really enjoy!) The nose is almost Grenache-like, earthy dark fruits and spice. The palate is unaggressive and nicely balanced; with gentle acid, fruit and tannins. The little Merlot and Petit Verdot they co-fermented with punched it up a little, but this wine may have been a little more expressive a year or two ago. At 13% it's quite gentle and approachable.

Very nice. Smooth big bright fruits, very dry on the finish. Good to enjoy with a meal, I would go red meat.

One of my favorites from acorn from recent vintages. Even better on day 2.
