  • Wow, what a nose...So vibrant and provocative! The palate didn't quite measure up. But that's not a fault. There's a trace of tannin and lots of structure. The fruit seems almost primary. Only a trace of spicy, heat detracted for me. Very nice.

  • Almost perfect. Resiny, chewy, just enough barnyard. Till going strong. Gentle giant here. 92+

  • Coravin'd a half a glass while preparing dinner. The nose was red fruit, the palate was cherry, cranberry and smoke. Finish was moderate and smooth. Drinking well at 20 years old. Will probably open the bottle in the next few weeks.

  • Kleur: luwelig licht robijnrood. Aroma / bouquet: Beperkte expressiviteit, een aangenaam, subtiel tertiair karakter. Smaak / Afdronk: Zachte, verfijnde zuurgraad. 50 + Kleur: 5 + Aroma / bouquet: 12 + Smaak / Afdronk: 16 + Algemeen / potentieel: 8 = 91/100

Color: pale ruby red Aroma / bouquet: Limited expressiveness, a pleasant, subtle tertiary character Taste / Finish: Soft, refined acidity. Soft tannins, but without a trace of 'angularity', nice balance, also with the relatively modest alcohol content. Subtle, retronasal impressions that reveal the age of this wine. A delicate matured wine, soft and friendly but with a special class and harmony. Above-average long finish. General / potential: Vinous did not mention a drinkability indication, Cellartracker mentions 2009 - 2016 as an average. At the moment very stale, drink quickly! 50 + Color: 5 + Aroma / bouquet: 12 + Taste / Finish: 16 + Overall / potential: 8 = 91/100
