Friends shared this with a grilled salmon and mussel dinner on 5/28/17. It had a fragrant, expressive bouquet of apple, pear, toast, citrus, yeast and spice aromas. The palate was focused and assertive with flavors of tart green apple, lemon, toast and spice.

Nose predominantly of green apples and pears; faint hints of toast and petrol in the background. Very coarse bubbles. Palate medium bodied, straightforward and fruit-driven with green apples and crisp acidity. Medium finish.
Very coarse carbonation and limited yeasty/toasted notes gives it away as a cava. For the price, not a bad sparkler. Decent weight and the dry, crisp acidity distinguishes it from Proseccos in the same price range. Paired nicely with food but was also good on its own.

The Gran Cuvee Reserva Brut takes the Brut Reserva flavour tapestry and builds on that to weave a tasting that is much more complex and full.
I enjoyed this more than the Reserva Heredad, even though they're close to the same price in my area.

A good value at $12.99 an a step up from the Segura Viudas brut. Lemon zest and oil, chalk, smarties candy, a touch of apple, good mousse and acids.
