No huge flaws, but it didn't strike me as being as good as bottles that I've had from other vintages. Only had one glass, (highly unusual behavior for me) so we'll see if it is any better the second day.

Heavy stinky sulfur for hours after opening, despite vigorous in-bottle agitation and Vinturi and swirling.
In a narrow window several hours later, some borderline enjoyable qualities (fruit, complex tannins) emerged to compete with the unpleasant chemical attributes.
The next day the sulfur was gone, but any interesting attributes left with it.
No flaws, but no redeeming features to justify the mid-teens price.
Not sure how RP justified giving this 500,000 case factory product 90 points.
It's not bad for industrial wine, but not anything more than 'Meh, OK' for the QPR.
A shame, because the wine has such a nice jaunty blue bottle and good story ("mile high vines blah blah").
Don't bring this to dinner unless you have 5-6 hours to let it breathe.
Amalaya should cut yields (to deliver on the promised "intense flavor concentration"), irrigate less (to deliver on the promised "uncommon depth"), and decide if this fence-sitting wine is intended to deliver pure Malbec varietal or a nice blend (by keeping >95% Malbec or adding more Cab/Syrah).
Another villain in the growing Safeway rouges gallery of rip-off wines, but the least offensive of the bunch.
