Albany Tastevin dinner: Liked this a lot - very pretty with a bright red fruited character and lighter floral and earthy accents around the fruit. There's a silky, gentle quality to the palate presence here with fairly light tannin and much of the structure coming from the bright acids. Lovely wine and very enjoyable, as long as I don't think about how much bottles of this are going for these days.

13 Mørk og krydret med et klart yoghurt-innslag. Klassisk Roumier-tett og utilgjengelig. Men begynner å lette litt på sløret.
I munn er konsentrasjonen god. Sitter lenge. Strukturen fungerer uten å tørre eller stramme. Flott vin. 92p
14 Ingen tvil om at denne har samme DNA. Synes nesa er veldig lik 13. Men 14 føles litt mer kantete på duft. Litt mer skrinn både på nese og i munn. 90p
15 Kork
16 Denne har mindre eleganse på duft. Sødmefull og mer flat. Syltetøy. I munn er den nokså tynn. Varmeskade?
17 Mer dybde igjen her, selv om den er altfor ung. Forblir tett og noe trå. Men solid konsentrasjon og lengde, så potensialet er der. 92

Roumier wines need a lot more time than what I'm usually willing to or able to give them, same was the case with this bottle. Rather unaccessible at first, but with sufficient air loads of cigar box, blackberries, strawberry porridge, parsley, black cherry, ribben, raspberry sorbet and black tea. Structured with a good amount of tannin and acidity. The wines from Morey St Denis I've always found to taste the most of soil/stone, what I really enjoy. 2030+

Opened at Arcane in Hong Kong. Double Decanted and enjoyed slowly on the terrace.
Much much better than the other bottle of this that I've had, which was from 2002. Started showing the Roumier charm after a bit of air, but the quality was lurking underneath. Even though it's MSD, some Chambolle characteristics started wafting through after 2 hours in the glass and it just got more and more enjoyable. Good stuff.
Can keep, but in a decent spot right now with some air.

Jesus the market be wildin’ on this wine. I was expecting so much more for the money. Nose was tart cherry and raspberry but shy - almost like if there was a screen door or filter between my nose and the bowl. The palate stood out here, a rustic fruitiness makes up a little for the lackluster nose. Good mid palate and a super long tingling finish. With time the nose turned slightly Smokey even. Palate smooth as ever throughout. Nose was on par with a good village and palate was in the 1er to GC arena
